Twenty years ago, a hard-drinking, fiery British immigrant called Gordon Bennett, came to the remote Australian territory of Christmas Island to become General Secretary of the Union of Christmas Island Workers. By the time he died in 1991, he was known as 'Tai Ko Seng' which, roughly translated, means "big brother who delivers". Every year since his death, people gather on 30 July at the Island's Chinese cemetery, to pay tribute to Bennett as they would to their honoured ancestors. Big Brother of Christmas Island tells the moving story of how the legend of the "Tai Ko Seng" was born.

Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 1 began airing on April 23, 2006, three weeks after the end of the first Celebrity Edition. This is the third series overall in the franchise. It ran for 42 days and closely resembled the original show, unlike the relatively short Teen Big Brother, its British counterpart. The prizes included a condominium unit in Valenzuela City, a livelihood showcase, one million pesos, and an all-expense paid trip to any Philippine destination. During the last few days of the above-mentioned first Celebrity Edition, auditions in Cebu City, Davao City, and Metro Manila were announced, and 30,000 teenagers answered the audition call. Of these, twelve housemates were selected: eight represented the Luzon area while four came from the Visayas and Mindanao. Mariel Rodriguez took over as main host of the primetime edition, while former Celebrity Edition contestant Bianca Gonzalez hosted the UpLate edition of the show. The theme song for this new edition was "Kabataang Pinoy" by Itchyworms. The new theme song was first performed by the band during the first Celebrity Edition's finale on April 1, 2006. For this edition, the house was redecorated with a pop art theme. The colours of the walls were changed, and even the living area had a mural with pop art depictions of Mao Zedong, Bruce Lee, and Marilyn Monroe, to name a few. The housemates were also provided with a foosball table and some trampolines.

Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus was the second edition of Pinoy Big Brother for adolescents 16 to 19 years. It is the sixth series overall in the franchise. It premiered on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, and ran for eleven weeks, ending on June 7 of the same year. Toni Gonzaga returned as primetime host; this was also the first Teen Edition that she would be hosting. Mariel Rodriguez, the previous Teen Edition primetime host, also returned to host the late afternoon edition, Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus Über. Bianca Gonzalez once again hosted the show's Update skits after being the regular host of Über in the second Celebrity Edition; she once hosted the Update slot back in the second regular season. Luis Manzano made his return to the show as Gonzaga's alternate host/co-host in the primetime edition; he appeared previously as co-host in a live airing of first Celebrity Edition. This time, the prizes offered for the winner were a laptop, an LCD TV set, kitchen appliances, a business showcase, a condominium, and one million pesos. On March 4, 2008, local news on ABS-CBN reported that Big Brother had already sent 30 Dream Keys along with special instructions in a sealed envelope. The instructions told the receiver that they must go to the final casting call in Manila without public information. From these thirty who answered the casting call, fourteen were chosen to enter the house.

The first celebrity edition of Pinoy Big Brother officially began on February 5, 2006 and ran for 56 days, ending on April 1, 2006, and were hosted by Toni Gonzaga and Mariel Rodriguez. This is the second series overall in the franchise. The series was originally scheduled to start a day before but due to the Wowowee ULTRA stampede that happened earlier that day, the management rescheduled it the next day. Due to the happening, Willie Revillame dropped his hosting stint from the show. The prizes at stake cost three million Philippine pesos, which includes a million pesos for the winning housemate, another million for the winner's chosen charity, and another million for the charity of Big Brother's choice. Aside from the cash prizes, a condominium unit in Valenzuela City is also at stake. The Big Brother house that is used on this edition is the same as the house used on the first season, although there were some changes in the house's interior. The show began with a welcome party along Manila Bay. They were transported by yacht before the chosen housemates was formally introduced and were taken to the Big Brother House. A prayer that is led by Jesuit priest Fr. Tito Caluag, S.J., a minute of silence and a performance of "You Raise Me Up" were done before the show started to commemorate those who have been affected by the Wowowee stampede. Furthermore, Myx VJ Luis Manzano played pinch hitter for Willie Revillame, who was at the time still devastated by the said stampede.

It started on October 14, 2007 and ended twelve weeks later on January 5, 2008 at the Araneta Coliseum. It was supposed to end on December 22, 2007, but it was announced on November 19, 2007 to be extended for two more weeks. Toni Gonzaga reprised her role as the primetime host, while ex-Update host Bianca Gonzalez helmed a brand new show, Pinoy Big Brother Über. UpLate host Mariel Rodriguez also hosted Über for seven days with Bianca; but for rest of the program's duration, she was also the House's first and longest-staying houseguest. This new season also marked the hosting debut of second season winner, Beatriz Saw as she hosted the Updates. The theme song, Sikat ang Pinoy originally sung by host Toni Gonzaga and PBB 1 alum Sam Milby, was rehashed and was performed by Pinoy Dream Academy Grand Star Dreamer Yeng Constantino and PDA finalist Eman Abatayo. The performances featured on this DVD were filmed at the studios of KQED TV in April 1967, just weeks before Big Brother & The Holding Company shot to international fame following their blinding set at the Monterey Pop Festival in June 1967 (which featured Joplin's show-stopping performance of 'Ball And Chain', a highlight also of D.A. Pennebaker's famous movie documenting the festival). For many fans this was the period when Janis Joplin was at her best, before the pressure of fame and the ravages of drugs took over. This is the first DVD to release these KQED TV tracks. The songs are interspersed with short interviews with Janis and other band members, all in excellent sound and picture quality for the era. In addition to 'Ball And Chain', which was to appear on the group's second album in the following year, the set features two of the group's hit singles, 'Down On Me' and 'Coo Coo'. This package also includes a bonus audio CD of the tracks.
