The Aussie king of darkness brings his brooding and devastating tunes to Glasto
The centerpiece of this DVD is a 90-minute concert by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, performing live in Lyon, France, in the summer of 2001 during a European tour in support of the album No More Shall We Part. Its mature and emotive textures dominate this show, which means if you're hoping to see Cave whipping himself into a frenzy while Blixa Bargeld rattles the walls with his guitar, well, you're out of luck. However, this footage proves that, in more subtle form, Cave is still a magnetic and compelling performer and that the Bad Seeds have grown into a singularly gifted ensemble who bring just the right amount of drama and force to Cave's superb songs (with guitarist Mick Harvey and violinist Warren Ellis taking top honors at this performance). Beautifully shot, intelligently edited, and boasting crisp and full-bodied audio, God Is in the House is a fine document of Cave and his collaborators on a good night.
A Italian western parody, of Sergio Leone's THE GOOD, THE BAD and the UGLY...but with Star Wars characters. With respect to Ennio Morricone's unforgettable and entirely iconic film score.
What a day Alexander is having. He's got gum stuck in his hair, he trips on his skateboard and he can't find his favorite glow-in-the-dark yo-yo. Things go from bad to worse in this charming animated musical based on the book by Judith Viorst.
Emily Thomas stars as the girlfriend of Bill, a slacker. Throughout the movie, the viewer gets to see a world of metalheads that is unlike the Hollywood movies. Mainstream movies about metalheads are actually showing you posers, not metal people. Hollywood only understands the mainstream, so their idea of metal is the faggy, pop and glam garbage like Motley Crue. In the words of Bill (a character in this movie) the only time that a song should have the word “baby” in it is when the song is about killing babies.

This documentary dissects a slanderous aspect of cinematic history that has run virtually unchallenged form the earliest days of silent film to today's biggest Hollywood blockbusters. The film explores a long line of degrading images of Arabs--from Bedouin bandits and submissive maidens to sinister sheikhs and gun-wielding "terrorists"--along the way offering devastating insights into the origin of these stereotypic images, their development at key points in US history, and why they matter so much today.

In a politically correct world, it takes one of the guys from the neighborhood to tell you like it really is...and get huge laughs doing it. Performing at Asbury Park's famed Paramount Theatre, Marino brings down the house with his proudly Italian point of view and common-sense attitude.

Beatrix Potter’s merry tale about two rascally mice has been delighting children for generations.
