The director of the theater in Győr, a city in Hungary, dies unexpectedly in the middle of the season. Boday Balázs, a once highly popular actor, is temporarily placed in his position. Boday arrives in the city with two objectives: firstly, to rescue the theater from bankruptcy, and secondly, to meet his never-before-seen daughter born out of wedlock, whom her mother (the city's current mayor) has kept him away from.
