Operation Alaska is a fictional documentary and extensive web series based on real American plans and proposals to evacuate Finns to Alaska between 1940 and 1944 in the event of a Soviet invasion of Finland.

On a mission to rediscover trails in his Alaskan backyard, dyslexic filmmaker and painter Max Romey explores a historic trail, and its wild history. With a sketchbook and a pair of shoes, he makes the first likely attempt in decades to connect the once well-traveled trails of the Southern Trek of the Historic Iditarod route from Seward back home to Anchorage.

The film is based on Aleut folklore. Each area is filled with spirits, with its own characters and purpose. This is a story about a husky puppy - the spirit of Alaska, which travels in search of friends, casting a shadow - the northern lights.

The action takes place in Lwów (L'viv) on the eve of World War II. A former White Army officer (Vladimir Mashkov) after the defeat of the Whites in the civil war in Russia emigrated to Poland (Lwów was a Polish city at that time). The chief dream of his was to buy Alaska from the USA and to return it back to Russia.
