A Wake

On the Morning You Wake uses innovative documentary storytelling and virtual production techniques to viscerally recreate the lived experiences of people who, for 38 minutes, had to react and make impossible decisions in the face of nuclear violence.

Chris O’Neill continues his series of found footage inquiries into the haunting power of the cinematic image with I Wake Up Screaming. Images from a little-seen and underrated masterpiece of 1970s genre cinema are twisted and distorted into an unrecognisable new vision. This assault on the senses is heightened by an intense soundtrack from Texas-based rock ‘n’ roller Gabbie Bam Bam.

Author-critic Anthony Burgess explores in a free-wheeling way perspectives of James Joyce's great experimental novel "Finnegans Wake". He is in the unusual setting of an Irish pub, utilizing a variety of props to illustrate his points. Burgess, erudite and ironic, brings in photographs, history and even sings a song from the book -- the "Ballad of Persse O'Reilly." All this with Burgess leaning on the big wooden bar of the pub. Internationally known author Burgess ("A Clockwork Orange", "ReJoyce", etc.) has always been fascinated by "Finnegans Wake", its idiosyncratic language, its enormously complicated structure, and its attempt to address those most universal human questions of life, death, sex, mind, and mankind's fall and resurrection.

Bobo is a bounder. A cad. This clown enters the lives of three women, a Mother, Fran, and her two daughters, Pearl and Robyn. He steals Fran's heart, impregnates Pearl and leaves Robyn with an engagement ring and a fatal disease. Following his death the women hold a strange wake where their jealousies and pain come to the surface.

Wake Up! WA was a breakfast television show broadcast in Western Australia. It was broadcast on Access 31 until the station's demise in 2008.

Wake Up is an upcoming Australian breakfast television program on Network Ten The program is expected to premiere in November 2013 and will air weekday mornings from 6am until 9am and it will be presented by Natarsha Belling, Natasha Exelby and James Mathison. The program will broadcast weekdays from Queenscliff Surf Club at Manly Beach in Sydney, with Nuala Hafner presenting news updates from a glass studio at Federation Square in Melbourne.
