A Lett

A video letter, created during the years of war in Croatia when communication with the rest of the world was difficult. It is addressed to the author's Hungarian and British friends. The author is sending electronic flashes with his hands, and his voice delivers the message in Hungarian and English.

Set in a snowy Iranian army training camp, the intimacy of the barracks is contrasted with the namelessness of the conscripts. This movie most closely tracks the conversations of two soon to be soldiers and the hand held tape recorder that one hides from the drill instructors. When one of them gets a leave to go to Tehran this recorder becomes a means of communicating to home for many of the conscripts, and is a way for them to pick up the sounds of the city in the remote training camp.

Sunshine is a 20 year old young woman who served a sentence for drug abuse. Having found to be pregnant on her first day in prison, where the child was born, Sunshine was left with a new reason to live. Although in the past the relationship with her family was not the best, during the time in prison her relatives made sure they would write every day, and visited without fail. On the day of her release, she was carrying over 500 letters and a chance to turn a new page in her life.

Nothing happens out of the blue, and certainly not this letter. A middle-aged man reads a letter written to him.

The family of Giannis Anastasiadis, leaves the village of Aydoğdu in Pontus and takes the road of refuge, at the end of 1919, while his father has already perished in the forced labor camps. The family scatters like the dust of Anatolia. His sisters, Kerekia and Victoria, die of typhus. Giannis and Isaac are separated in 1919 and do not see each other for more than 60 years. Giannis comes to Greece, but he never stops looking for his brother and writing letters to him. After many attempts, a Turkish Wali delivers Giannis's letter to Isaac and then the road opens, so that the two brothers can meet again.

The Wife's Letter is an adaptation of Salvador Dali's artform and an amalgamation with Rabindranath Tagore's short story of the same name. Here, the protagonist named X is the personified variable in Mathematics who is suffering from schizophrenia and hence, his personality is not constant and varies. In this story, a LEAF has been considered to be a constant and X must be equal to that LEAF in order to validate language. This is an attempt to prove that Mathematics does not constitute emotions, sentiments and is comprising mere calculations; however, one's life cannot be completely manipulated. Here, the protagonist travels through three worlds to discover himself trying to equate himself to the LEAF.

An Indigenous woman today, as a grandmother, tells the story of three generations of Aymara daughters, mothers and grandmothers. Her concern is that her only grandchild does not lose her identity, nor ignore the historical memory of her family.

A poignant story tells about a girl who, due to life circumstances, became an orphan, but thanks to her incredible inner strength and belief in her childhood dreams, she was able to become a happy adult woman, find her vocation in creativity, create a family and raise two children.

The Letter.

"Letter to a Child" combines intimate conversations with perfect strangers and personal letters contemplating bits and pieces of life, collected and addressed to a child. In a series of “guided monologues” people – from kindergarten children to the vintage ages – are contemplating and reliving their lives. When they forget about the camera and they turn their eyes inside, the film starts. They are alone with themselves in front of us and then we are alone with ourselves, with our life, long passed, very present. Through the film the intimate diaries are silently drawing in the back a picture of human life of the last hundred years.

Pepe writes a letter to his mother in the province talking about how nice Manila is, and how his new job is going to give the whole family a better life.
