This is a mini-drama edited for children from the NHK Drama Special , "Goodbye, Alma - the dog who got a red letter〜" which introduced the history of animals that suffered in the war, was broadcasted for four consecutive nights from March 13 to 16. A special course for children and dogs, conducted by the dog Kanta-sensei (voice: Seiji Miyane). The class introduces the legend of Kanta's ancestor Alma (voice: Ryunosuke Kamiki). One day, the dog Alma is given to an aspiring vet, Taichi Asahina (Ryo Katsuji), by Kenta (Seishiro Kato), who is no longer able to keep him due to family circumstances. He is captivated by Alma's excellence and raises him as a military dog. Then, Alma is called up by the army. The children shed tears and refuse to say goodbye. Taichi regrets his decision and worries. One month after Alma goes to the war, Taichi decides to go to Manchuria where Alma is as a military dog trainer. What awaits him there is a reality beyond his imagination...

“The Soul of the Bone” gradually reveals the apparently isolated existence of Dominguinhos, a 72-year-old hermit who lives inside a cave that juts off from a rock mountain. The film is composed of long silences in which the hermit executes his daily chores, such as cooking and cleaning, and of images that transcend his territory. Towards the end we discover that silence is commonplace in the hermit’s life, the normal state in which time passes. Speech is the state of exception.

Nandin, Yineth, Rosario and Débora are some of the members of the Wigudun Galu group, whose name refers to an Omeggid entity from Guna mythology. They define themselves as a separate group, and their demands are specific to that group. This observational documentary was realized by filmmakers at the State University of Paraná. It follows the Federal University of Paraná’s Téssera Dance Company in black-and-white images as the group’s members prepare the dance piece “Black Dog”, a work about confronting depression, in June of 2017. The film’s story, structured in chapters, presents archetypal characters overcoming individual crises for the sake of collective expression. “The pack must walk together”, says the company’s stern but compassionate leader, within the context of a pedagogical work about the importance of a show going on.
