YOU ARE LOOKING LIVE! reflects on the origins of THE NFL TODAY’s half-century of studio coverage, featuring interviews with the only surviving early cast members Brent Musburger and Jayne Kennedy, as well as current TV personalities including Jim Nantz, Nate Burleson and Gayle King. Featuring a virtual re-creation of the iconic NFL TODAY set from 1985 and never-before-seen archival footage, YOU ARE LOOKING LIVE! uses innovative technology to take viewers back in time. Debuting in 1975 and hosted by Musburger with Phyllis George and Irv Cross – and eventually Jimmy “the Greek” Snyder and Kennedy, THE NFL TODAY was the first live studio show that took viewers across the entire country, previewing and highlighting every game in the NFL. It was also the most diverse show of its time as the first studio show with a Black cast member and a female cast member. THE NFL TODAY quickly became the prototype for which modern studio shows are based.

Mark Lauren, a former elite US Special Operations trainer, has developed 9 new full body workouts that can be made without the need of any equipment, whether at home, in the hotel room or in nature. The images move between claymation, animation, paper dolls receiving medical care, puppets and live footage and archival footage from our previous collaborations as well as found audio from a 1950’s informational pregnancy video. The rabbit is the third character in the film, representing a multitude of histories in regards to pregnancy and eventually becomes our baby.

To be lost means you cannot recognize space so on the mall directory “you are here” is the first step to restoring meaning to space but that assumes that a being and space are separate entities, one containing the other. But does space exist, as we know it, when it’s unobserved or does it transmute into marvelous forms that instantly snap back to normality when observed by a conscious being. It seems that space is fixed and stationary, as we experience it, but again behind our backs it may be flowing like a liquid violating all physical assumptions. So when we open our eyes to the apparent world is our consciousness the determining factor defining space, suggesting there is no space devoid of consciousness and are we in space or is it in us.
