This made it possible for today’s generation to travel on vintage steam trains throughout Great Britain. Climb aboard for an up-close-and-personal ride on vintage trains as they cut through the beautiful British countryside. Examine the interiors of the passenger cars from long ago, witness the machinery and mechanisms still used to operate these giant iron beasts, and take a peek at the offices and rooms used by train personnel. Journey through the steam train’s intriguing past, and learn the unique history of these colossal and beautiful machines starting with railways inventor, George Stevenson.

Former ice researcher and Orthodox pastor Andrey Voronin is called Ice-Breaker because of his brave opinions. A unique children’s home, whose foster children are now famous in the whole of Russia, was created under his guidance. They weren't always glamorous, but they were always stacked. And if you were lucky, maybe they had a little fun with themselves. In the 1950s and 60s these little films were commonplace, but now they're part of a bygone era. This collection brings together over an hour of those short subjects, and take you back to the days when ecstasy could be had for twenty-five cents. You'll see bombshells wearing lingerie you definitely won't find at your local department store, topless campfire girls getting in touch with nature (and themselves)...and a few young ladies that can shake their hips like nobody's business. One thing's for sure, the gals who made these films had fun...and you will, too.

A short experimental documentary is filmed at the last drive-in movie theater in Los Angeles, located in a desolate area called the City of Industry. Floating within a backdrop of smokestacks, beacon towers and passing trains, dislocated Hollywood images filled with apocalyptic angst are re-framed and reflected through car windows and mirrors as the displacement of the radio broadcast soundtrack collides with the projections upon and surrounding the multiple screens. In VINELAND, the nocturnal landscape is seen as a border zone aglow with dreamlike illusions revealing overlapping realities at the intersection of nostalgia and alienation.

Six theater and hip hop teachers take on a five month challenge to show the Latvian public that young men behind bars are more than just that. While seeming impatient, full of disbelief and even rude at first, it turns out to be a superficial impression given off by their masks that must be kept on at all time as an underage colony is a difficult place to be. It has its own rules and it’s not easy being creative there. Teachers help inmates reveal the talents within them that help transcending the monotony of the prison walls.

A film about a great folk talent, Vincas Svirskis (1835-1916), a carpenter who traveled from village to village. His shelter, his family, his property was replaced by oak sculptures, crosses, his image left, people forgot his tomb, but his works remain - a monument to the master...

Recording these songs live for the first time, St Vincent has performed five tracks from Strange Mercy for the tenth visual installment in the 4AD Session series. Shot at Shangri-La Studios in the heart of the Brooklyn film and photography district in Greenpoint, the session was recorded with Annie's new band, Daniel Mintseris (keys), Toko Yasuda (moog) and Matthew Johnson (drums).
