Three generations of Youngseok’s family live together in a house. Even though his mentally ill grandmother’s time on this Earth is gradually running out, Youngseok is embarrassed by the way she behaves like a child in front of his friends despite her efforts to take care of him. The film displays the challenges of a family who live with a dementia patient, told from young Youngseok’s perspective. Dreamlike summer nights in the film evoke the innocence of childhood, and the gathering of dear friends and family.

Ten-year-old Kwong is a Primary 5 student who has to contend with "Internal assessment for Secondary Places" and parents who constantly argue. He is at a loss. His grandma, who lives alone, is always patient and happy to learn about his world. Grandma passes away suddenly, Kwong suffers from insomnia. At night, when he looks at the boundless sky, he feels secure, as if many friends are talking to him. He keeps all this to himself. To his parents, Kwong is just a naughty boy. They have no inkling that Kwong may be experiencing emotional problems.

A group of Taiwanese who were born before World War II still insist on writing poetry and haiku in Japanese language. Director HUANG Ming-chuan has been documenting them for 22 years since 1994. Unlike Korea, another previous colony of Japan, Taiwan retains emotional and cultural ties with Japan even after the War. Over 40 years, these poets and writers get together discreetly under the ban of speaking and publishing in Japanese. More than half a century later, despite aging, they remain using Japanese in the final years of their lives. This film gathers memories of local Taiwanese who have been ruled by several colonial powers since the Dutch arrived on the island in late 17th century. And the path to obtain their own voice became a long way struggle, and so as the national identity.

Byeong-seo, who works as a boom operator at a Chinese movie site, is unable to concentrate on work due to a breakup notice from her girlfriend in Korea. Bingbing, a kind policewoman, helps Byeong-seo, who is in trouble after dropping the boom under the wall, and she guides Byeong-seo to her favorite dumpling shop. Stomu and Sverrir are friends and accomplices. They have known each other for many years and have already worked together. Stomu has been to Iceland to take part in Sverrir’s premieres. During Sverrir’s tour of 15 Japanese cities in December 2005, the two artists spent a lot of time together in Kyoto and discussed creating a new project that would permit their sensibilities to meet. The aim of this film is to give us an insight into this artistic friendship. The two artists create a musical project especially for our film in which Stomu’s mineral sounds encounters Sverrir’s unique voice.

Some of the most important Brazilian musicians comment, in exclusive testimonials, on their incursions into experimentalism: the origins, motivations and consequences for their work and for the evolutionary line of MPB. The hostess Oh Hak-ja has not experienced true love yet. Though outwardly, Hak-ja seems to distrust men, she earnestly thirsts for love. Hak-ja tries to find true love with a young man named Ji Suk-wu but he betrays her. Promising to meet again, Suk-wu goes abroad but Hak-ja falls into despair when he doesn't return.
