Year 2020. The world is fragmented after the war, and families, friends and even enemies are divided. Large cities ceased to exist. And soon echoes of war will come to our small town.

In September, 1959, six Europeans leave Cook's Bay on the southern coast of Dutch New Guinea, now West Papua or Irian Jaya, to trek north to the far side of the island. The journey (450 miles, as a crow flies) across unmapped territory took seven months; three Muyu porters died. Near both coasts, the expedition met villagers who invited them to observe rituals and live with them. In the interior, all villagers kept them at bay, and they depended on air lifts from Hollandia for food and supplies. They climbed above 10,000 feet, built 14 bridges, and fought leeches and malaria. The narrator focuses on describing Stone Age savages, headhunters, and cannibals.

Pau is home to the famous "Red Berets". Four of them have forged close friendships: Dominique, a Corsican with the rank of master sergeant; Julien, a peasant; Dédé, a wild Parisian; Jean, a shy provincial. On free evenings, the four friends meet in a bar where Dominique is interested in the waitress and Dédé is in love with Paulette, the owner's daughter. One day, a car breakdown brings Jean into contact with a young girl from Paris: Brigitte. But Brigitte leaves again and Jean can't stop thinking about her. Because of their good behavior, the battalion to which the four men belong is chosen to represent their arm at the July 14th parade in Paris. In the capital, each of them tries to find their loved ones.

Maria, a 48-year-old woman, is trapped between two worlds—one guided by asceticism, the other fuelled by the need to reconnect and be with her two sons. Through carefully composed shots and minimalistic sound, we glimpse into her everyday life, thoughts, and emotions.

However, Orine boards the station to find that it is not as unmanned as she thought: her mother, Satomi, is waiting for her there. As Orine and Satomi make up for their lost time together, the mysteries of Satomi's true identity, Yuri's goals, and a man called "SENSEI" who aims to take over the station continue to deepen.

Sky Lines is a formalist film that evokes, via repetition and an extreme sound design, a death driven fear of nothingness, of the end of things. As formal sets of choreographed lines slowly dance across the screen, space and perception alter continuously and a sense of suspense and instability manifests itself. In Nadine Poulain’s film ‘Sky Lines’ the awful is not seen, but the sensational Lucifer is there nonetheless. He is waiting just around the corner for all of us. This is our anxiety; something Jacques Derrida has coined ‘Hauntology’.

Hedgehog and Bear shivered from cold at the leaves strewn yard where shrill and angry wind was blowing. Friends decided to go to an abandoned house, where they found a lot of interesting things. They saw a sheet of paper on which a sunny and hot day was painted. Spreading it, they found summer and after taking the sunbath, Hedgehog and Bear continued their fascinating experiments with the weather.

Heshmat runs the factory of his wife who has a heart disease and is unhappy with his wife's decision that after her death his property will be handed over to his sister Fereshteh. In the absence of his wife, Heshmat tries to attack the sanctity of her gaurdian angel, but the angel hits him on the head with a statue and runs away thinking that Heshmat is dead. Fereshteh decides to drown herself in the river, but Amir, who works in the Heshmat factory, saves her.

In the vicinity of Tajín, several schools teach the art of the Papantla Flyers, attended by Dana, Said, Jairo, and Sarahí. These four children introduce us to the magic of this Totonac dance. As they train to become flyers, they share legends of how new generations can fly and save the region from drought. To achieve flight, they must overcome fear, practice discipline, and keep dreaming like all children.

The Waning Sky tells the story of two lovers united by a love as strong as it is forbidden, haunted by the imminent presence of their unfulfilled desires and the guilt that follows them. Their relationship is founded on a shared lie, a guilt that torments them both, and an unrelenting desire that threatens to consume them both. They married young, not knowing the depths of love or passion, but when they met, they knew they had found their soulmate. The characters Luís and Ana, played by Carla Chambel and Rúben Garcia, are united by a passion that lasts for several years, supported by furtive encounters, declarations of love, conflicts and guilt. The Waning Sky presents a poetic and lyrical narrative of the complexities of desire, love and the lingering pain of living with the consequences.
