Rock the Box Office is a movie in which Kiss, led by Gene Simmons, must raise funds for their very own movie!

Project commissioned by the Goethe Institut and the MIT Open Documentary Lab under the mentorship of Harun Farocki. Labour in a Single Shot explores the theme of work, paid and unpaid, through the lens of the single take inspired by the Lumière Brothers. A 35mm hand-cranked camera loaded with a 100' of film has been used to replicate the documentary techniques of early cinema. A hand-cranked projector is also used as a screening apparatus.

Life Corp, a leader in the technology field, is working on ground breaking technology to makes people happy. The company's CEO, Sir John Chris, argues this is coming at a time when people are angry and need a change. Ben Lau, a software engineer, has dedicated the last three years of his life on the Life Corp project trying to make a difference. Together with Raj, his fellow software engineer, and Liz, his project manager, they conduct their final experiment which would actually make an unhappy person happy. The experiment takes an unexpected turn for the worse. Instead of the intended outcome, the test subject becomes a zombie. To resolve the crisis, Sir John Chris hires his friends to consult on the project. His friends only make things worse, and their experiment starts the zombie epidemic infecting the entire building. Ben, Raj and Liz, escape the initial outbreak, but realize they are the key to reversing the effects of the infection...

Christine looks after her ailing mother and toils in a provincial Austrian post office in the years just after the Great War. One afternoon, as she is dozing among the official forms and stamps, a telegraph arrives addressed to her. It is from her rich aunt, who lives in America and writes requesting that Christine join her and her husband in a Swiss Alpine resort. After a dizzying train ride, Christine finds herself at the top of the world, enjoying a life of privilege that she had never imagined. But Christine’s aunt drops her as abruptly as she picked her up, and soon the young woman is back at the provincial post office, consumed with disappointment and bitterness. Then she meets Ferdinand, a wounded but eloquent war veteran who is able to give voice to the disaffection of his generation. Christine’s and Ferdinand’s lives spiral downward, before Ferdinand comes up with a plan which will be either their salvation or their doom.

The heroes of this crime-comedy attempt to get hold of money by a funny trick. They start operating the new post-office of the housing estate a week before the official opening, pocketing the revenue themselves. The inhabitants of the estate do not understand the trick, and loads of money pour to the swindlers.
