The Glass House was a half-hour Australian comedy talk show which screened on the ABC from 2001 to 2006. It was hosted by stand-up comedian Wil Anderson, and co-hosted by fellow television and radio comedians Corinne Grant and Dave Hughes. Two additional guests joined the regular cast each week, including musicians, politicians, actors, radio personalities and other celebrities of varying calibre, such as Young Australian of the Year winners and Olympic athletes. Regular guests included comedians Adam Spencer and Akmal Saleh, netballer Liz Ellis, Play School host Rhys Muldoon, musician Pinky Beecroft, and music critic Molly Meldrum. The show thrived on taking regular shots at, among others, Shannon Noll, Amanda Vanstone, Naomi Robson, Shane Warne and Peter Costello. The format of the programme is similar to that of the BBC series, Have I Got News for You. The show was pre-recorded in front of a live audience in the ABC's Sydney studio on Tuesday evenings. During the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the show was taped inside the Melbourne Town Hall. The program initially screened on Friday nights, but suffered from an inconsistent timeslot, resulting in humorous TV spots, for example 9:30 Friday...probably. In 2005, The Glass House shifted to a more reliable timeslot on Wednesday at 9:35pm.

When Ruby and Rhett's parents are killed in a car accident, their carefree teenage lives are suddenly shattered. Moving to an incredible house in Malibu with the Glasses', old friends of the family, seems to be the beginning of a new life for them.

Despite her undeniable beauty and powerful presence, Rei is lonely all her life. One day, she meets Kazunari, a high-level bureaucrat and widower. They marry and she moves into his house, where he lives with his two grown-up sons. Rei's presence is about to wreak havoc on her new family.

Adapted from a story by Truman Capote ("In Cold Blood"), the world of the prison convict is open to the viewer. As the story develops, one thing becomes clear. As in the outside world, there is a "system"; and just as on the outside, there is accommodation, honesty, cynicism, violence and all the other factors that make up our society. The film follows the three newcomers, it records the grim, terrifying, sometimes fascinating events that occur.

In The Glass House, 14 contestants live and compete for a quarter-million dollars in a totally wired, state-of-the-art house, playing not just against each other, but also playing to win over the viewing audience each week. Both online and through their social networks, viewers will be encouraged to support and follow the contestants they like, their votes helping to determine which contestants are sent home and also which eliminated players will earn the chance to return to "The Glass House" to compete each week.

One year after losing their son David, Eve Goode and her husband Raymond Goode adopt the orphan Ethan Snow (and his teenager sister Abby Snow and bring them to their mansion nearby a lake. Abby faces difficulties of adaptation in her new home, and she confronts Eve, who proves to be deranged and unstable. When Ethan gets sick, Abby tries to contact their friend, detective Ben Koch, and she realizes that her brother and she are trapped in the house.

Ambitious architect Victoria has carefully designed her life. She is bringing up her daughter as a copy of herself and hardly notices anything outside her ideal world. The next step for self-realisation is a project that should bring her long-awaited recognition. But during the inauguration, her daughter disappears. The police are convinced that Alisa is involved in drug trafficking. For help, Victoria is forced to turn to her ex-husband, who works for the police. Their visions of the tragedy differ, and over time Victoria begins to realise how far her daughter has actually drifted away from her. The ideal relationship with her daughter, based on mutual understanding and frankness, is a bubble that bursts. Victoria is confronted with the real world and begins an investigation, although she doesn’t want to lose her reputation as well. In a vacuum of loneliness, under pressure from society and her ex-husband, Victoria risks her life to prove her daughter's innocence.
