The film observes the situation of these workers, as well as visits the other generation of Thai migrant worker in South Korea, an 80 year-old Thai veteran who once fought a Korean war.

On November 6, 2020, Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio’s Ghosts of the Forest touring project reunited for a one-off performance at New York’s Beacon Theatre. Originally streamed as part of an eight-week interactive virtual residency that raised over one million dollars for those affected by alcoholism and addiction, the transcendent concert features a string section and backup vocalists.

This piece was designed as an installation piece for projection as a 60-minute loop in gallery spaces. Deanimated is literally displaced from the theater environment typical of film spectatorship, slightly blurring the boundaries between the spaces of projection and reception. "Deanimated: The Invisible Ghost," is based on the 1941 horror film "The Invisible Ghost" with the lead actors Bela Lugosi, Polly Ann Young, and John McGuire. In "Deanimated" the actors are gradually eliminated and thus the narrative loses its coherence. What remains are backgrounds, erratic camera movements that seem to move without focus throughout the room, capturing ghostly changes in light and shadows. In this project, Arnold asks fundamental philosophical questions about human existence and presence in absence. Although the actors are missing, they leave behind traces (such as smashing bullets together, dust stirring up …) and are experienced precisely in their absence as a ghostly, unreal present.

We visited these museums &, unable to break away the objects from their glass prisons, have made an attempt to reconstruct the film, hoping that the magnetic force inside the objects would transfer to the film’s silver halide crystals, therefore allowing us to make sense of the single written testimony leftover from the séance.

The Antiques Ghost Show was a 'reality' show commissioned in 2003 by Living TV. Members of the public would bring self-proclaimed psychic Derek Acorah their antiques. After Acorah has made claims about the history of the item, using a method he calls psychometry, Christopher Gower and a genealogist are given 48 hours to verify the assertions. When analysing the history of an antique, Acorah will often act out events he believes has happened. The show was sold to Bravo! in Canada and other networks in Australia, where in terms of ratings, it was immensely popular. In terms of critical reception, it was met extremely poorly, with critics noting that just as much could be learnt about the history of the antiques without Acorah's readings.
