Speechless Saison 1

2 million people have aphasia in the U.S, but very few people have ever heard of it. This is where this film comes into picture, dealing with a topic that seriously matters to society: if we take into account the relatives and friends of those who have aphasia, more than 20 million people in this country are affected by it. Also, there are no major documentaries about aphasia, and yet there is an urgent need of talking about it because lack of media coverage is one of the main reasons for the shortage of funding and research. Indeed, we strongly believe that a documentary is nowadays the perfect medium to raise this issue and to help society understand it from a human point of view.

A young female director travels solo to Tokyo, where she accidentally meets an extravagant character, 63-year-old Yamada-San, who dresses like a woman and who was never accepted by society. The two of them only communicate through the camera and arbitrary translations of strangers, who overcome the fear towards Yamada-San this way, and so begins a chain of changes.

Pain of camels when they carry too much load of humans and their belongings or are used for some commercial works. How selfish and cruel we humans are that we ride on them for fun and our pleasure but we don’t realise their pain behind it. This world is full of cruelty and selfishness….. The story behind it is that on 23rd October 2023, I went to a sea beach in Daman for a tour where I saw an owner took a camel for a ride and when the people completed it, the camel was taken to this place and forced to sit. The owner was behaving in a very cruel manner. When the owner went for finding another camel ride, I took a photograph through my phone as I didn’t bring my DSLR over there. Meanwhile, I took a photograph when I noticed that the camel was very tired and his body was not allowing him for a next one but it had to. Alas! We humans have become so cruel and rude that we don’t realise the pain of others especially the speechless ones.

Eleven years after his debut, Jason Chan held his first Hong Kong Coliseum concert Speechless on December 2 and 3, 2017. The show started with "A Powerful Love Song" followed by I Miss You, "You Hide I Hide," "Stubborn," "Car Key," "Maintain Forever," "Without You, I'm Nothing," "Ending Relations" and "Brick." The singer also surprised fans with his dance performance and childhood videos.
