430 Space Shuttle is a children's show shown on TVB Jade in Hong Kong that aired from 1 February, 1982 until its final episode on 8 August, 1989. The name represents the show's starting time—4:30pm. This program aimed to educate children about astronomy or related topics with stories, songs, games and other adventures. It provided an opportunity for children to learn about different topics while being entertained at the same time. The host of the programme was Cheung Kwok Keung aka "KK", with various supporting actress, as well as the "silver" monster "CoCo" and the robot hung on it called "LoBo". When the programme was broadcasting, many of the family in Hong Kong was still watching a Black-and-White TV and thought "CoCo" was a gold monster. Some children got disappointed when they saw the "ugly" silver body in Colour TV. 430 Space Shuttle was replaced in the early 1990s by Flash Fax, another educational children's show. Among the show's former hosts are famous Hong Kong actors Stephen Chow and Tony Leung.

The story of America’s courageous space explorers

Watch This Space was a short-lived Australian children's science fiction television series which ran on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from 7 April to 13 June 1982. The show starred Paul Chubb, in his first leading role on a television series, as a red skinned alien named Rufus who arrives on Earth and attempts to live as a human. The alien is helped by a local man, played by co-star Ron Blanchard, who attempts to help him fit in including helping disguise his spaceship as a normal home and later moved in with him as a roommate. Being largely unaware of Earth culture, the alien would regularly become involved in comical social situations. This was most often as his human friend's expense who, while receiving weekly visitors, continually tries to explain away his odd behavior and the existence of his talking shipboard computer. Other actors who appeared on the series included local bands, performers and celebrity guest stars such as Steve Bisley, Liddy Clark, Jon English, Rebecca Gilling, Tracy Mann and Kris McQuade.

Open Space was a programme produced by the BBC's Community Programme Unit. It was an evolution of the earlier Open Door series of programmes allowing minority points of view to make a television programme about issues of concern to them. The programmes were transmitted on BBC 2 in a mid-evening slot and would attract audiences between 500,000 and 1,500,000. In a typical year there would be two or three groups of up to eight Open Space programmes each usually half an hour long. A producer, an assistant and a budget of up to £25,000 would be allocated to each programme.

Makoto Ayukawa of Sheena & The Rokkets passed away on January 29th at the age of 74. Space Shower TV will pay tribute to Mr. Makoto Ayukawa by airing two nights of programs featuring Mr. Ayukawa that have been aired on Space Shower TV.
