The Russell Gilbert Show is a short-lived Australian comedy show hosted by Russell Gilbert in 1998. It was partially a spin-off from Hey Hey It's Saturday, where Gilbert had risen to prominence. The show's writers included Kevin Blond, Paul Calleja and Andrew Maj. Seven episodes were filmed and aired. In 2000, a similar concept was attempted: Russell Gilbert Live, which was followed in 2001 by Russell Gilbert Was Here!. Both new shows were relatively short-lived.

The Statler Brothers Show is an hour American variety show hosted by the country music group The Statler Brothers broadcast on The Nashville Network. The theme song of the show is an instrumental version of the Statler Brother hit "The Class of '57" The show ran for seven seasons beginning on October 12, 1991, and was the most popular show on The Nashville Network, airing Saturday Nights during its entire run until 1998, including the highest rated episode in the history of The Nashville Network. Each program features a segment called "Yesteryear" where one year would be remembered by performing songs released in the featured year between brief summaries of memorable events. Following the series run, Yesteryear was developed into a full-length program. The show was co-hosted by country stars Crystal Gayle and Ronna Reeves.

The Martha Raye Show is an hour-long comedy/variety show which aired live on NBC from January 23, 1954, to May 29, 1956. The series was hosted by Martha Raye, a Montana native, who often called herself "The Big Mouth." Her boyfriend on the program and a foil for her humor was portrayed by retired middleweight boxer Rocky Graziano. Nat Hiken, her writer and director, went on to create the military comedy The Phil Silvers Show and the police sitcom Car 54, Where Are You?. One of the producers, Norman Lear, went on to produce All in the Family and The Jeffersons.

A British television series starring puppet character Basil Brush. It ran from 1968-1980 on the BBC and featured Rodney Bewes, Derek Fowlds, Roy North, Howard Williams and Billy Boyle. Many episodes from this series are considered lost due to the BBC "junking" or reusing tapes in the 1960s and 70s.
