Wandering samurai Nemuri Kyoshiro (Raizô Ichikawa) finds a bulls-eye on his back after befriending the shogunate's tightfisted financial adviser, Asahina, who's earned the wrath of the shogun's self-indulgent daughter for cutting off her allowance. The enraged princess promptly hatches a scheme to have Asahina bumped off -- along with his protector, Kyoshiro. Shiho Fujimura also stars in this installment of the enormously popular film series.

His wife was raped, but the naive dyer believes in "straight" intentions of his godfather - black marketeer, and he gives away free canvas to the people. But in all their pain, people are unable to distinguish good intentions from the evil ones.

In the future, a Supernormal Event Processing (SEP) has been established around the world to handle all kinds of supernormal and emergencies. One day, the processing center received a set of fuzzy and mysterious broadcast signals from a certain cave. The center decided to send Task Force 9 to investigate the matter. After passing through the cave, the task force unexpectedly came to an ancient town called Peach Blossom Spring, where they found that all life had died, and another team of task force exactly like themselves appeared in the town.

The film plunges into the intrigue of a love triangle in which is involved a former actress who has a relationship with her husband, a film producer, her lover, the screenwriter of the films he produces and a criminal lawyer.

General Candy, who's overseeing an English squad in 1943, is a veteran leader who doesn't have the respect of the men he's training and is considered out-of-touch with what's needed to win the war. But it wasn't always this way. Flashing back to his early career in the Boer War and World War I, we see a dashing young officer whose life has been shaped by three different women, and by a lasting friendship with a German soldier.

The heroine of the documentary that was published by American magazine The Atlantic is a 97-year-old Inge Ginsberg, who first escaped the Nazi regime across the mountains into Switzerland, and after the war moved to Hollywood with her husband Otto, where she wrote music alongside him (their work includes Dean Martin’s Try Again). In the present day, she applies for the show America’s Got Talent where she performs heavy metal music, through which she wants to pass her wisdom on to the world, as well as to have as much fun as possible at her age. This life-affirming film is made with no special allowances for Igne’s age, which commands much respect.

To pay for his terminally ill wife’s expensive medical bills, former gang member Ah Nan decides to risk everything on a potentially lucrative drug deal, but the situation turns out to be far more dangerous than he imagined.

D-Day, June 6th, 1944. An orphan boy seeks revenge upon a villainous kung-fu sect that killed his friends. He chances upon two old kung fu masters who are fighting to determine who's the better fighter; one is a drunk, the other puffs constantly on a pipe. Fei Fei convinces them to teach him kung fu, and then he'll fight using both of their techniques and will discover which is superior. So Fei Fei ends up fighting his way up the ranks of the evil sect with the two old men trailing after him, evaluating the battles and counting how many of their individual moves Fei Fei uses. The final battle with the white-haired master of the sect, using new kung fu moves inspired by dancers in a brothel, is amazingly gymnastic. --Bret Fetzer
