Pengantin Remaja

Amelda (Amel) and Fabian (Abi) have been matched since they were very young. Now Amel is in high school, very obsessed with matchmaking, she is sure that her soul mate is a handsome, romantic man. The same thing happened to Abi, who was very sure that his soul mate was a beautiful and elegant woman. However, it turns out that Abi and Amel eventually met at Amel's school, with Abi as a new teacher. But unlike Abi's expectations, it turned out that Amel was too ignorant and childish. On the other hand, Amel was also disappointed, because Fabian was far from being the prince of her dreams, just a teacher who was stiff and curt when spoken to.

This movie is a remake of Pengantin Remadja 1971 original version which is also one of indonesian legendary love story movie such as Badai Pasti Berlalu, Gita Cinta SMA, etc. This Movie tells the love story among two of teenage kids unfortunately restrained by difference in social status of both family which are diplomat and farmer family. Some Scenarios have changed compare to original one which ends tragically. In the original 1971 starring by Widyawati and Sophan Sophian while in this remake Pengantin Remaja 1991 replaced by Vivi Samodro and Bucek Depp. The Musical illustrations are also impressive. Both of original Pengantin Remadja 1971 and this remake 1991 are directed by the same person Wim Umboh and music arranger Idris Sardi.

It tells about the love story between Romi and Juli, which is opposed by Juli's parents due to Romi's upbringing in the overseas. Romi's father is a diplomat. But Juli's father refusal dampens down when the doctor tells him that Juli suffers from leukemia and she would not live long.

Secondary school students, Amir and Mastura, vow to get married to each other after their university years. However, things are not as easy as they envisaged. Their relationship faces a string of problems when Mastura doesn't turn up for her SPM examination and her parents plan to get her engaged to her rich schoolmate, Fandi.
