An American woman visits a small South American town where she quickly falls for a charming lieutenant.

Twelve sisters who escaped at the start of their human-eating mother, are marry at the same time the king. But the ogress craves revenge and deceives the king as an attractive woman. The ogress ensures that the twelve sisters lose their eyesight and are imprisoned in a cave. Where they eat their own children to survive. Only the little Puthisen, the son of the youngest sister, is spared. Puthisen grows then into the cave from child to young man. As a young adult he decides to liberate his mother and the eleven aunts.

The movie XIIa is the sequel of the super successful XIa. In XIIa the journey continues. After two years break, Lina is back to school to teach a new class - a new class, new problems. At home, the situation is also not better. Lina is separated with her cheating husband and her dominating mother is constantly bullying her, Lina's son is maltreated by classmates - at times the tension reaches extreme limits and Lina is about to collapse. Fortunately, she finds support in the sports teacher, a former boxer. The school director is also on her side, so are some of the students. Though the problems with the new class, especially with the beautiful and difficult Megan and between Lina and one of her colleague teachers deepen more and more. The prom is getting closer, the situation is about to escalate

Six and Twelve is one of a series of short films and documentaries produced under the auspices of the Centre Cinématographique Marocain in the years after Moroccan independence. While most of these were utilitarian in nature, Bouanani, Tazi, and Rechiche took a different route with this film, creating a modernist “city symphony” film that documented six hours in the life of the city of Casablanca. Combining a hard bebop soundtrack with stunning black and white cinematography and a radical editing style, the film stands as a document to the energetic experimentation of this period of Moroccan art and cinema.

After making its debut in the world 150 years ago, Japan has been aiming "up the hill" and became one of the Five Powers after the First World War. Focusing on four themes that have held Japan's fate since the Meiji era (1868-1912) as it attempted to compete with the Western powers: "Asia," "The Emperor and the Constitution," "Trade," and "Military," the program examines from a global historical perspective why Japan, once a "first-class" country, became isolated and burnt to the ground in the international community.
