During the end of World War 2, in May 1945, a 23-year old British officer goes on an adventure to the east. Manfred Gans, son of a German-Jewish merchant family is traveling through Germany, in the hope of finding his parents alive in the concentration camp Theresienstadt near Prague. More than 70 years later, his descendants step into his footsteps.

On this journey, you can meet Monty. A very dark, fussy creature, but also adorable, that sails through a river for the first time.

The film is a personal reflection on the 1970s and the traces the era has set. The film is also an exploration of Nils Yttris's circumstances, mindset and destiny.

In the nine years he has traveled around the world, from 1969 to 1978, he has regularly written to his family. The documentary features interviews with Heitor today, his letters and off-screen comments of Heitor's sister, Lúcia Murat, the director of the movie.

The Journey Home is a new Icelandic documentary about the people living in the most remote shire in Iceland. We follow the photographer María Gudmundsdóttir, who was born and raised in Árneshreppur, throughout the film and see the livelihood of the people living in this shire. María shot most of the film from 2009 till 2014 and the author Vigdís Grímsdóttir took the majority of the interviews.

A series of beautiful black-and-white photographs is marred by yellow Post-its with their notes erased. An unassuming narrator makes things even more mysterious with a description that deviates from what you see; the constant tension makes every interpretation ambivalent.
