Fixies are used to hiding from people, but they are everywhere: in computers, refrigerators, TVs ... Everyone remembers the cases when a non-working device suddenly began to work if it is lightly tapped. It's simple: a fixer woke up inside and made everything work. And now you can watch cartoons about these mysterious hard-working people and get to know them better...

In a Fix is an American television series involving a team of construction workers and a designer who "rescue" homeowners from stalled "do-it-yourself" renovation projects. Original episodes of In a Fix, which was produced by NorthSouth Productions, aired on TLC in 2004 and 2005. The program has been shown in reruns on the Discovery Home Channel in the United States, TLC in Canada and Discovery Real Time in Asia.

The Fixer is a British drama television series, produced by Kudos for ITV. Set in modern Britain, it follows the life of John Mercer, an ex-British Special Forces soldier, arrested by police for killing his aunt and uncle following his discovery of their abuse of his sister, Jess Mercer. Eugenius will employ his Fixie friends while Erica has little helpers of her own — crabbots, miniature robotic crabs that are faster and stronger than the Fixies.

In this work, Bell-Smith combines three found elements: an industrial video designed to fix stuck pixels in computer monitors, an animation of a sunset and a New Age soundtrack. In doing so Bell-Smith interrogates the purported transcendence of psychedelia and New Age techno-hippie-dom, while bringing into play the history of brainwashing videos and seizure-inducing strobe effects.

The Fixies are little creatures that, unseen by humans, help them maintain their appliances – and generally make sure things don’t fall apart… Until an unexpected occurrence of gargantuan proportions threatens to reveal the Fixies’ existence!
