Owen Matthews is pretty content with his life. That is until he and his two friends take a survey, where one of the questions strikes Owen, What makes your life unique? Throughout the film, Owen struggles with this question and learns what it means to live a fulfilling life along the way.

This short looks at the illness anthropophobia, the fear of people. In 1901, young Catherine Starr, who lives in a small English coastal town, has an argument with her fiancé. He leaves her house, goes off to serve in the Boer War, and dies of malaria. Catherine blames herself for his death and fears others will also blame her. She does not leave her house for forty years. Groceries are delivered to the house, but no one sees who retrieves them. When the Nazis bomb her house in September 1941, she is forced to cope with the outside world.

A young woman, Dakota, is trying to move on with her life and get away from her past after being rescued from a grim basement, where she was kidnapped and abused by a monstrous man. However, when the normal life she had starts to unravel, Dakota needs to uncover her tormentor and end her nightmare for good, since she fears for her life and is determined to no longer be the victim.

When Eva no longer finds satisfaction in her relationship with Hans, her phobias reappear. Through Hans' former colleague Jack she learns to deal with her fears, the hard way.
