Alexey, still a young man, found himself in an extremely difficult situation. He must devote most of his time to his mother, who is almost completely paralyzed after a stroke. This documentary is a director Kim Dong-won’s only autobiographical film that was produced as a request from the video festival. The film starts with the director’s son declaring that the film should start with a blank background with a title reading “We will now start Tekken Family” and then the director’s voice asking his son “ Have you ever seen a film start like that?” The whole family sits in front of a game machine playing Tekken and having a joyous time. This image of the family is very much different to the passive and disconnected image of a family portrayed in People in the Forest of Media.....

It is hard to find a family home where all the members have gone to live their separate lives in different parts of the world. Travelling between different continents, the director visits divorced parents and their new partners and also meets her sister who decided to join an alternative community. Their family exists on archival films and photographs only. Is it still possible to put it all together against all odds?

Autumn 1978 in suburban Sweden. Everything seems to be fine with the middle class Bendrick family with their two teenage children and a younger son, until the mother starts seeing her first love again after 20 years. Just like their badly built house, the family façade starts slowly crumbling into pieces. The daughter, 15, finds her first love, and the boys too are puzzled by their own questions around adolescence and sexuality. The father tries to keep up a happy face, while the youngest son is the first and the most sensitive to realize how the family is heading towards a disaster.

Things are not going well at work for both Meirzhan and Dana. Their friends, on the contrary, have everything "in chocolate". Their whole life is trips abroad and numerous hangouts. Dana's friends laugh at her that they don't go anywhere. Dana begs her husband to take her and the children somewhere, but Meirzhan does not have such an opportunity. One day he comes up with the idea to take a minivan at work and take his family to Aktau, to the sea. On the road, the family is waiting for numerous dangerous adventures.
