The series is based on the memories of children, participants and witnesses of various events in Russia in the 20th century. How children who grew up in Russia in different years of the 20th century perceived the world around them, and with it the everyday life of Russian history. Life, the behavior of parents, the behavior of friends and enemies of the family, the external environment, social upheavals, political events, all this is noticed by children, all this adds up to that picture of history that we will not find either in official reports or in historical research.

It shows the ethnic Nuba civilians defending themselves with the help of over 400 cameras distributed by himself and Klemen Mihelič, the founder of humanitarian organisation H.O.P.E., to volunteers across the war zones in the Nuba Mountains, Blue Nile, and Darfur, documenting the (North) Sudan military's war crimes against local populations.

Mayumi Hirose lived with her husband Yasuhiro and younger sister Miki. In Varja Mocnik's documentary, members of former Yugoslav rock band Buldozer, their friends and fans reminisce about the time of the release of the band's debut album Pljuni istini u oci (1975). Their accounts interlace with fictitious scenes, the record artwork, archive material and animation, to ultimately come together into an inventive, surrealist film that speaks not just of the legendary album, but also of the society and reality of the time.

When I told Johan van de Keuken I wanted to make a film about him and his work, we decided to make a film in a film, that is I would shoot the making of the film he was supposed to make about the Chinese photographer ToSang who would be making photographs of his clients. The film won a Jury Award in Figuiera da Foz, Portugal.

Using numerous examples from films prepared for the specific media, for example by Wojciek Bruszewski, Malcolm LeGrice, Sergey Eisenstein, Maya Deren, Kurt Kren, Yvonne Rainer, Anne Severson, Alfred Hitchcock, Linda Christanell, Gary Beydler and Marc Adrian, narrative and non-narrative forms of story-telling are examined and compared. Adrian appears in a live interview, and he attempts to explain the conditions of production, methods and Zeitgeist through his own work, including his first computer film, Random (1963). The advanced level of this film is also indicated by the high density of theoretical quotes from Christian Metz, Charles S. Peirce, Vsevolod I. Pudovkin and Ferdinand de Saussure.
