When Terry Hall died in December 2022, at the age of 63, we lost one of British music’s most influential, unpredictable and adored singer-songwriters of recent times. Here, take a trip into the BBC’s archives to look back on Terry’s extraordinary, genre-hopping career - from his early, decade-defining days as front man with The Specials, to Fun Boy Three, The Colourfield and his acclaimed solo career. Along the way, there were also multiple collaborations, ranging from Mark Ronson to Bananarama, the best of which are captured here in performances of hits including Gangsters, Thinking of You, Sense and Our Lips Are Sealed from shows like Top of the Pops, Whistle Test, Live in Session for BBC 6 Music, Glastonbury, the pioneering Oxford Road Show – and even some Cheggers Plays Pop. This DVD combines two concerts filmed at the Hacienda in 1983. Both were previously available on separate VHS releases. Shoot Your Shot is more dimly lit, but Divine really revs up the show toward the end, with the audience crowding the stage for the closing "Love Reaction." Recorded nine months earlier, Live at the Hacienda is better lit and Divine is more animated throughout. Both concerts feature a hardworking, sweating Divine obscenely bantering with the audience. Both concerts are about 40 minutes and feature Divine performing "Jungle Jezebel," "Born to be Cheap," "Alphabet Rap" and more.

In his Royal Albert Hall debut, David Bisbal will perform the biggest hits of his career, accompanied by a spectacular band formed by Spanish and acoustic guitars, mandolin, grand piano, keyboards, bass, double bass, trombone, percussion, drums and strings.

This double-disc package by Lindsey Buckingham, guitarist, songwriter, producer, and principal musical architect of Fleetwood Mac's multi-platinum-selling sound, contains a live DVD of concert performances with a bonus documentary, plus a CD that includes all but one of the performances on the DVD. The material ranges from tunes on his last solo album, the brilliant Under the Skin, as well as Fleetwood Mac nuggets, and a choice track or two from his other solo offerings. Recorded at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California in 1982, this concert was the last date on the Doobie Brothers' "Farewell Tour". An emotional performance containing all their best loved hits from across their career and they were joined by founding members Tom Johnston, John Hartman, Tiran Porter and Michael Hossack. The band are in fantastic form and rise to the occasion magnificently, they can rarely have delivered a better performance. Live at the Lizard Lounge, recorded on April 20th, 2011 has an amazing soundtrack but a rather underwhelming video to accompany it. So you’d be both in the right and the wrong to pick this one up. But we should focus on the positives first. The soundtrack largely culls material from Lake Street Dive, with three choice, intriguing covers thrown into the mix: the old soul and R&B standard “This Magic Moment” (first recorded by the Drifters in 1960, but then covered by unlikely acts such as Lou Reed and the Misfits), George Michael’s “Faith” and Hall and Oates’ “Rich Girl”. While the band’s recorded output leans into folk, soul and jazz territory, Live at the Lizard Lounge is a much more rocking affair, largely focusing on the guitar and trumpet finesse of Mike Olson.
