History teacher Jurre and public prosecutor Sarah each battle the criminal world in their own way. Through interviews with current members, people recently returned from prison or facing trial, writers, academics, activists and major players in various "raids," the documentary traces Anonymous’ evolution from merry pranksters to a full-blown movement with a global reach, the most transformative civil disobedience of our time.

Makita Hikari is a police officer. She has a pure personality and doesn't question people’s motives. Due to her personality, she is constantly deceived by suspects and finds herself relegated to a trivial job in the cold case resource room. One day, a mysterious man, Chajima Ryunosuke appears. Through Chajima, Hikari begins works in the newly formed Cold Case Anonymous Investigation Unit of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. The department tackles unsolved cases by offering leniency to suspects for information on the main culprits. Ryunosuke Chajima is himself a devious attorney. Why he takes part in the Cold Case Anonymous Investigation Unit is unknown.

The story opens with the murder of businessman Faisal Muthanna, ruled a homicide likely perpetrated by someone who wanted to rob him of his wealth. Elsewhere, Samir, a despairing tailor and taxi driver, reunites with his friend Yazen after years of war separated them.

Advertising executive Alan Miller, a recovered alcoholic who now does interventions on behalf of Alcoholics Anonymous, is called to help Broadway actress Jenny Carey whose developing career is threatened by an increasing dependence on alcohol. Alan's growing interest in Jenny strains his marriage to Edna, with whom he has two children.
