In 1985, the audiovisual training association Varan organized a documentary film workshop in Johannesburg, South Africa. The 12 young trainees filmed their community and their country from the inside, beyond the poor authorized journalistic clichés. Their material is organized in a chronicle, animated by the variety of subjects and views, and constitutes a real journey to the heart of apartheid, which we must look at today to measure how far we still have to go. 9 subjects are successively developed.

The Biggest Loser South Africa is a South African reality television show which first aired from 7 January 2008 to 14 April 2008 on e.tv. The show is a spin-off of the American reality television show The Biggest Loser. The South African version features Jasmyn Asvat as the host with trainers Bruce Claasen and Lisa Raleigh. The premise of the show is similar to other international versions following the format of "temptation", "reward challenge", "weigh-in" and "elimination". In addition to the 15 regular episodes, there are an additional 10 episodes of The Biggest Loser Extra which focuses on the eliminated contestants.

Consisting of reports shot in Senegal and Burkina Faso and archival documents, this film offers a new approach to history through in particular the testimonies of the surviving veterans of the 200,000 soldiers raised in West Africa for the Great War. Precious historical documents, often unpublished, such as the boarding of troops in Dakar, the crossing to France, life in the trenches.

The film tells the story of two POC teenagers from a traditional polygamous family, daughters of a father and different mothers from the same homestead: interior views from a distant everyday life. Two young women, their hopes, fears and dreams of having children, love and polygamy. Bibi is 17 and already has a baby, 15-year-old Riki is determined to become a private detective in Paris - but she is determined to take the fireplace from her homestead in Africa with her overseas.
