Abîme De La Passion

At the end of the last century, in the Cévennes, a valiant officer was taken for a brigand. Brought to defend himself, he kills one of his attackers and seeks refuge in caves where he hides and from which he no longer dares to come out. The devotion of a doctor saves him and he marries the daughter of this one.

He had died in 1955 after a long solitary life and was completely forgotten... Until in 1962 Bertrand Collin du Bocage and Georges Martin du Nord bought a collection of forty canvases signed with a stylized 'K' monogram at the Paris flea market. Thus a genius was rediscovered. Indeed after some research work the two men found out that 'K' stood for Kalmakoff.

Rosendo Arango, the owner of Grupo La Anita, is married to Alfonsina. They have one son, Damian. Estefanía Bouvier is married to Augusto Castanon and they have one daughter, Elisa. Rosendo cheats on his wife with Carmina Bouvier, Estefanía's sister. Damian and Elisa become friends because Augusto and Rosendo were best friends. But one day, Rosendo and Carmina try to go away from La Ermita, the pueblo in which they live in. But, Estefanía, who had found out about their plans, wants to prevent this, shuts Carmina in her room and then goes with Rosendo in his car, trying to convince him not to run away with Carmina. They have an accident and die and everyone thinks they were lovers.

In a monastery cut off from the world, the monks run a clinic for the possessed. One day, a young policeman Marek comes to the convent. Posing as a clergyman, he penetrates monastic life and tries to explain the recent, mysterious disappearance of several tormented inmates. It turns out, however, that there is no way out of the monastery.

The film presents the last days of Gen. Sikorski, right before the Gibraltar catastrophe. The commander is accompanied by his daughter Zofia and a group of closest collaborators. They are all guests in the palace of the Governor of Gibraltar, Mason Macfarlane, who is supposed to persuade Sikorski to give back documents on the murder of Polish officers in Katyn. When Sikorski refuses, a plan of attempt on his life comes into action. Who stood behind it? Who executed it and how? Was Zofia on board of Liberator too?
