20 years ago, Kei, a 23 year-old highschool teacher, fell for a student, Hitoha, a beautiful girl, but lost her from a tragic car accident. He’s now a middle aged factory worker who has just quit the job to visit Klavan in Ukraine. There lies a beautiful railway called Tunnel Of Love, where people say you can meet with your deceased beloved one. A freight transport runs once a day and it is said that the train takes someone you wish to meet.

This is the theme of the film: The secret of objects in the huge space and time curve: the not-being-able-to-recognize, the not-being-able-to-grasp, the not-knowing. The curve is presented in the film as a miniature: 24 hours (morning, day, evening, night, morning) condensed into 40 minutes.

In an undisclosed location in central Stockholm a sort of state of exception seems to be in effect. During night time, job seekers from different parts of the world live here. Daytime they share the place with workers, building the new Stockholm. The main character of the film Thomas, has for three years been sleeping in a rat infested spot under a loading bridge. Now he is not even allowed to stay there and is going to be evicted. He gives a passionate speech about dignity, human rights and his fight to live a worthy life and support his family. The film is also distributed as part of a mobile sculpture that will tour Sweden and Europe. —Erik Pauser

Ms Chan, a social worker who has just returned to work, receives her first case. She pays a visit to Jia, a single elderly who seems to have accidentally dialled the Care-on-Call Service. Jia has suspicious bruises on his face and Ms. Chan senses a possible family abuse situation. However, Jia’s attitude is unwelcoming and he sends her off right away. Since then, a series of peculiar events make Ms. Chan question her own sense of reality and sanity.
