Airi works at a small record shop in the town of Shimokitazawa. One day, while at a nearby thrift store, Airi encounters a shoplifting incident. The shoplifter apprehended by the detective explains that they stole the T-shirt to sell it and make money to buy a rare record. The elusive record the shoplifter was searching for is a mythical record called a “Ghost Record,” a nonexistent record conjured by the desires of record collectors. After hearing the title was called “One Day In SHIMOKITAZAWA,” Airi becomes interested in the record and eventually falls victim to a scam on a website selling “One Day In SHIMOKITAZAWA.” Seeing Airi distressed by the scam, the people of Shimokitazawa come up with an idea...

A team of contractors is building a gas pipeline in the steppe. One of the workers is accidentally sealed into a pipe. This is the last junction — you can't walk in either direction. People are faced with a choice: to save a person or to execute a plan on time.

At sunset, when a Spaniard is photographing the mountains, he is hit by a skier at high speed. Victor falls into a gorge, into which an avalanche descends.

Showing a day from the life of an ordinary young Georgian obsessed with the instinct of self-destruction, desperate protest and morbid nihilism, this film is one of the last Georgian films created at the period of the collapse of the USSR in 1989 1990. Levan Glonti does a wonderful job at portraying a collapse of an empire reflected in the collapse of an individual. Dge (The Day) was released soon after the break up of the Soviet Union, in 1991.
