In this coming-of-age short, undocumented teen Adrian takes matters into his own hands when his predatory uncle resurfaces after a decade of absence. Fearing for the safety of his vulnerable young brother, the two boys head to the city in the dead of night and attempt to make it on their own.

In this delightful mixture of romance, comedy and music, the director turns back the wheel of time about sixty years and shows the audience an Italy of primitive railroads, high bicycles and the famous "dolce far niente." The aim of the film is to show the urban and social development of the district over the past 100 years, as well as visions for the future. A wide variety of people had their say, telling their very personal memories, stories and anecdotes about the pre-monastery.
