À Trois C

Young d'Artagnan leaves Gascony for Paris where he hopes to become a Musketeer of the Guard. He does meet three Musketeers, Athos, Porthos and Aramis, but totally by chance and for... a duel against them! But he soon befriends them and follows them in their adventures, notably on a secret mission to uncover a plot contrived against the Queen by Cardinal Richelieu.

A man turning 50 (Walter Faber) narrates his liaisons with three women: Hanna, who was pregnant and left him many years ago in Zurich; Ivy, who broke up with him recently in New York; Sabeth who is 20 and whom he just met on a boat to Europe. Sabeth and the narrator travel to France, Italy and Greece. But who is Sabeth? What does she feel towards the narrator? What does he feel towards her? The entire movie is shot in subjective view (we only see what the narrator sees); there are no dialogues, just his post-synchronised voice.

Sirpa Lane is being abducted by some former film actors; these ask a high ransom from the (adult) film producers.

Antonin, Honoré and Papillote are sailors on the ship "L'Invincible". The three friends are in love with three pretty girls in Toulon: Honoré is in love with Mireille who, as for her, loves Antonin, and Papillote only has eyes for Angèle who, after a fifteen-month-long cruise,presents him a newborn baby that she claims is their son! A new woman appears: Patricia, as sexy as she is mysterious. Antonin, although disconcerted, falls under her spell. What he does not know is that Patricia is not a journalist as she says she is but a secret service agent who has been assigned the mission to investigate Eric Bergen, a shady fellow the trio meets everyday at Arsène's Café.

In the eyes of his wife, whom he is cheating on with an actress, Count Adrien passes himself off as the famous mask racer who has won countless car races. Chance forces him to really run and he is replaced by a drunken mechanic who wins. The mechanic uses blackmail and takes the count's place with his wife and his mistress.

On one side, a crooked banker, his nephew and his orderly; on the other, the honest friend of the banker and his daughter. Substitution of male and female characters that end with two marriages.

A triptych formed by FAIT LES AMUSEMENTS, CONTRETEMPS, and COMME UNE OMBRE LEGERE. The viewer is challenged to find and occupy his own position, to find his perspective in a similar way the filmmaker has found it on a look-out-point in the mountains.
